No. Checking your score through SavvyMoney Credit Score is a “soft inquiry,” which does not affect your credit score. Lenders use “hard inquiries” to make decisions about creditworthiness when you apply for a loan.
Your credit score is updated every seven days and displayed in online and mobile banking. You can also click “Refresh Score” as often as once a day for an updated score.
SavvyMoney Credit Score shows the most relevant information from your credit report. If you think something is wrong or inaccurate, you can get a free credit report at AnnualCreditReport.com and dispute inaccuracies with each credit bureau. Each bureau has its own process for correcting information, but any member using SavvyMoney Credit Score can file a dispute with TransUnion by clicking the “Dispute” link inside the tool. TransUnion will share the correction with the other bureaus if the inaccuracy is verified.
Three major credit reporting bureaus (Equifax, Experian and TransUnion) and two scoring models (FICO® and VantageScore®) determine credit scores. Financial institutions use different bureaus and their own scoring models. More than 200 credit report factors may be considered when calculating a score, and each model may weigh them differently, so no two scoring models are identical.
No. Members Source Credit Union uses its own lending criteria for loan decisions.
