Coronavirus March 18th Update
At Members Source Credit Union, we take the health and safety of our members and employees very seriously. We understand that some members may be concerned about the coronavirus (COVID-19). We are monitoring this situation closely and will take all necessary measures to protect the best interest of our members and employees.
This is an update to the message that was sent on March 12, 2020. Since that time, President Trump and Governor Holcomb have implemented new restrictions. We have been advised that anyone entering the hospitals where we have branches will have their temperatures checked and advised to go straight to the restrooms and wash their hands before proceeding to the credit union. For those members who work in the hospitals, they must follow the policies established by the hospital administration. At this time, our hospital branches are open but that could be subject to change should additional restrictions be mandated.
Also, effective March 18, the Merrillville branch lobby will be closed to all outside traffic and we will only do transactions via the drive-thru. If we cannot do the transaction at the drive-thru, then we will make an appointment to handle the transaction through the lobby. Only members with appointments will be allowed in the Merrillville lobby.
At this time, our Griffith branch remains open but we are considering our options to protect the health of our staff while still serving our membership.
In their commitment to the safety of hospital employees and patients, Franciscan Health Hammond and Franciscan Health Dyer are limiting access of MSCU hospital branches to staff only. We ask for your understanding during this time as we must follow the hospital protocols. Those who do not work in either of these locations are encouraged to utilize our Merrillville branch drive-thru or Griffith branch to complete their transactions.
Members Source Credit Union remains financially sound and we are here to serve OUR members needs and we ask for your patience as we work through these trying times.
Again, we strongly encourage you to use MSCU's digital tools to help you avoid crowds and complete your banking needs. Ways to access your account away from a branch include:
These tools will allow you to check account balances, make loan and bill payments, deposit checks, transfer funds and more. If you haven't enrolled in online access, text banking, or telephone banking please give us a call at 219-756-4141 and we will assist you through this process.
We will continue to update you to the best of our ability as this situation evolves. As always if you have any questions or need assistance completing your banking from home please email us at: email@example.com or give us a call at: 219-756-4141.
